Follow-up sequel to "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" finds Bill (Keanu Reeves) and Ted (Alex Winter) struggling in their lives. But in the future, a villain named Chuck DeNomolos (Joss Ackland) takes possession of a time machine and sends two evil, robot versions of Bill and Ted back through time to kill the real Bill and Ted and thus stop the success of Bill and Ted's band, Wyld Stallyns, from influencing future history. Death (William Sadler) comes to collect Bill and Ted after they are killed by the robots but says that if Bill and Ted defeat him in a contest he will give them their lives back. Bill and Ted defeat death at Clue, Battleship, football and even Twister. Being a poor sport, but true to his word, Death restores the lives of Bill and Ted and takes them to heaven to seek the advice of God. Sent back to Earth, Bill and Ted must defeat the evil robots that are masquerading as them, and restore balance to present time.
