The glory days of the Ghostbusters are over in this sequel to the sci-fi comedy. Five years have passed and the Ghostbusters are no more, unless you count kids parties. After they saved the city they were sued, vilified and bankrupted because of the destruction of property that took place. Ray Stantz (Dan Akroyd) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) dress up in their gear for kids parties. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) hosts a TV series, and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) is a research scientist. Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) has moved on from Venkman and had a baby with another man, while working to help restore old paintings at the Manhattan Museum of Art. They are working on restoring a painting of a cruel Moldavian ruler of the 16th c. named Vigo the Carpathian. Unbeknownst to Dana, Vigo is attempting to be restored to life with some supernatural help, and the body or her baby boy, and before long the Ghostbusters are needed again. Will they be able to save the city again, and will they want to?
