This movie is similar to a political “Odd Couple”. Former Presidents Kramer (Jack Lemmon) and Douglas (James Garner) cannot stand one another and their political beliefs are as different as night and day. After being framed for a horrible scandal they set out on a crazy journey to save their names, their lives and their country. They experience the American way of life in ways they never even dreamed of. They meet homeless people, illegal immigrants, truckers, bikers and even march in a gay parade. All the while they are being chased by killers and having a hilarious time escaping. They become fast friends despite themselves.
